Cover image: Pictured is the energy landscape of a folding protein, which resembles a funnel. Guided by the energetic consistency of its internal interactions, a folding protein diffuses from the top of the funnel and can follow many different folding routes before it emerges at the bottom in its most energetically stable native structure.
